Westhill Park carer raises over £1300 for the Alzheimer’s Society by ‘losing the curls’
Debbie Prigmore, a carer at Westhill Park, has raised over £1300 for the Alzheimer’s Society, by braving the shave to help raise awareness of dementia.
Residents and staff at the home supported and cheered Debbie on as she courageously had her curls shaved off last week, after wanting to do something special to raise awareness of the disease and support those affected by dementia.
Debbie said, “I wanted to do something to help the Alzheimer’s Society because I work with residents living with dementia. It’s an awful disease that affects not just the person, but their families as well. Thank you to all who have donated to this wonderful cause.”
Lifestyle Manager, Hannah Kinloch, added “We are all so proud of Debbie and her fantastic attitude to fundraising for this amazing cause. We have all donated to show her our love and support.”
