A party to remember at Westhill Park

Yesterday, Westhill Park threw a party to mark their first year of opening. Family, friends, members of the local community, firefighters and the Mayor of Kettering, Cllr Keli Watts, all gathered to celebrate the special day.

The party had a forties flavour, with lots of memorabilia being displayed around the home and our staff and guests all dressed up in their best forties’ outfits!

A buffet lunch, was served for all to enjoy, followed by an afternoon of dancing to music, provided by the wonderful Rebecca Cole.

In the cinema, we had a video of our residents playing, where they discussed their memories of the 1940’s. It was incredible to listen to them reminiscing about their experiences and reflect on their achievements.

Three of our residents, Vera, Rosemary and Dennis, who moved into Westhill Park on it’s first day of opening, cut the delicious 1st birthday cake and made their own birthday wishes.

It was a fabulous afternoon, filled with lashings of fun, laughter and great conversation. One resident said: “I have had the most wonderful time and I can’t thank the staff enough for throwing such a fabulous party.”
