Meet our fabulous team of kind, dedicated, and passionate staff who have been specially selected and trained to provide the very best care with compassion, warmth and respect.
As the Home Manager at Westhill Park, it is my responsibility to ensure that my team and I deliver the highest standards of care to all of our residents all of the time. I am a qualified nurse and I have worked in both the private sector and the NHS. I have a wide range of knowledge and experience in care and the management of nursing, residential, dementia and elderly frail services. Feel free to pop in at any time for a coffee and a chat. I would be delighted to answer any questions that you may have.
Home Admissions Advisor
My role here at Westhill Park is to offer support, advice, guidance & make sure that our residents and their families are not overwhelmed through the decision process of moving into our home. I am a friendly face that can offer emotional understanding & assistance with the more formal administrative process, as it can be daunting when moving from a place where someone has been settled & created memories to a brand new home.
Head of Care and Compliance
I am delighted to have been recruited to work at Westhill Park as Head of Care and Compliance. This is an exciting opportunity to work with the residents, families & Westhill Park team to ensure that high quality care and support is being provided. I have worked within various care settings, giving me knowledge & insight into different customer groups and the outcomes they are aimed towards. I am committed & passionate about ensuring the support delivered is in line with our policies & procedures and we are fully compliant with the safety and quality standards and regulations set by CQC.
My many years of working within healthcare has helped me understand the importance of nutrition and whole dining experience. I was delighted when the owners of home, as part of the recruitment process, asked me to prepare a full range of meals. It is this attention to detail that attracted me to the role to head up one of the most important aspects of life at our home. Mealtimes should be looked forward to and the food savoured and it is my role to make sure this happens every day.
In order to attract the right people, we spend a lot of time making sure we recruit like minded individuals. Our search for our colleagues to join our team at Westhill Park started back in the Summer of 2018. A rigorous process allowed us to review and select a core team from over 600 applicants. All of our colleagues were required to complete our unique in depth training to reach our high standards and to become part of a team we are proud of.
Front of House Manager
My role here at Westhill Park is Front of House Manager. I find this role very rewarding as I can engage with the residents and build up a relationship with them and their families that come to visit. I take pride in making sure the first impression of Westhill Park is at its best, ensuring there is a positive and welcoming atmosphere in the reception area. I am proud to be responsible for being the first point of call for anyone entering the building and seeing what a passionate home we are, to deliver the truly best care we can to peoples loved ones.
What our staff say:
“Moving home can be a daunting experience for some with both emotional and administrative challenges. It always helps to be present throughout the process and by getting to know our residents and their families to better understand their needs.” (Allison Purkiss)
