Westhill Park install defibrillator for the community
Westhill Park have recently installed a defibrillator on the outside of their building for the community to use in an emergency.
The funds for this were provided by a legacy left to the home, in memory of one of their residents, Margaret Mason, a lovely lady who lived in the home for some time. After Margaret passed away, her friend, Maureen, told us she wanted to leave some money to the home in remembrance of her and, after discussing with Maureen what would be a suitable legacy, it was decided that part of the funds should be used to provide a defibrillator for the local community.
Susanne Stevens, Home Manager at Westhill Park said, “‘Whilst we cannot yet have an official opening ceremony due to the current covid-19 situation, we felt it was important to have the defibrillator up and running as soon as possible for the benefit of all.” A ‘cutting the ribbon’ ceremony will take place, with Margaret’s friend, Maureen, being invited to do the honours when we are able to gather together again.
