Professor June Andrews RMN, RGN, FRCN is an inspirational woman whose impact on healthcare in the UK, and further afield, is profound. Internationally renowned, she works independently to improve dementia care.
In view of the home’s recent CQC Outstanding rating and to ensure the home maintains the high standards June visited Kingfisher Court on Thursday 1st November to review our home and how we practice and deliver our dementia care. June’s pragmatic and down to earth approach along with her detailed and thorough feedback proved to be invaluable.
Professor Andrews studied all aspects of our home including the design and layout of our building, the furnishment and equipment and also reviewed and discussed in detail our delivery of care with a number of staff and residents.
We were delighted to learn that she was impressed with our high standards of care and the wonderful surroundings and could easily recognise why we received an Outstanding CQC rating. All of our other homes: Timken Grange (Duston), Layston Grove (Buntingford) and soon to open Westhill Park (Kettering) are all built and designed to the exact same high standards by LNT Care Developments and managed by the hands on, day-to-day involvement of Andrew Long and Chris Babington.
