Putting residents at the heart of everything we do; engagement, activity and well-being are the cornerstones of day-to-day life within our home, therefore all members of staff at Kingfisher Court play a part in the well-being of each and every resident.
Our dedicated Lifestyle Team provide a variety of imaginative activities carefully tailored to match our resident’s interests and abilities. Our team will use individual ‘Life Stories’ as a way of gathering information to help create activities that provide stimulation, fun and enrichment to our residents’ lives.
Great importance is placed on ensuring our delicious, home-cooked food is nutritiously balanced and well-presented. Our Chefs work closely with local suppliers to obtain the best produce and ingredients where available. We do appreciate our resident’s requirements can differ so chefs are trained to support specific needs and dietary requirements. If this is applicable to your loved one, we will be happy to provide you with further information.
We believe relationships and social interactions are important at any age and are proven to help reduce feelings of loneliness and depression. We encourage our residents to take part in the range of recreational activities we have on offer, even if it is simply enjoying a chat with a fellow resident over afternoon tea, or a glass of wine over dinner with their family and friends. Kingfisher Court enjoy a number of regular visitors to the home, joining in with activities and social coffee mornings; so much so, our resdient’s relatives have formed their own friendships.
