Westhill Park

In order to attract the right people, we spend a lot of time making sure we recruit like minded individuals. Our search for our colleagues to join our team at Westhill Park started back in the Summer of 2018. A rigorous process allowed us to review and select a core team from over 600 applicants. All of our colleagues were required to complete our unique in depth training to reach our high standards and to become part of a team we are proud of.

As the Home Manager at Westhill Park it is my responsibility to ensure that my team & I deliver the highest standards of care to all of our residents all of the time. I am a qualified nurse & I have worked in both the private sector and the NHS. I have a wide range of knowledge & experience in care and the management of nursing, residential, dementia & elderly frail services. Feel free to pop in at any time for a coffee & a chat. Home Admission Advisor

My role here at Westhill Park is to make sure all our residents and their families have a clear understanding and guide them through the decision process of moving into our home. Moving home can be a daunting experience for some with both emotional and administrative challenges. It always helps to be present throughout the process and by getting to know our residents and their families to better understand their needs.

Group Financial Controller

I have more than 12 years' financial experience with the majority of these spent in Healthcare which is a personal passion of mine. My understanding of the various financial systems, accountancy and general knowledge of the care sector means I can add to Oakdale and its management team. I was attracted by Oakdale’s ethos which is evident throughout the group and personally enjoy being in the homes with the residents and their families which is at the heart of the business.

Front of House Manager

I joined Oakdale as Front of House Manager, as it utilised many of my organisational and client facing skills. My experience of care has been looking after my grandmother and regularly visiting her in care homes, where I realised that I enjoyed the experience and could relate to the family environment. Oakdale’s ethos seemed to be very clear and supportive, and I felt I would enjoy seeing my Grandmother in Westhill Park, so was delighted to accept the role at Westhill Park.

My many years of working within healthcare has helped me understand the importance of nutrition and whole dining experience. I was delighted when the owners of home, as part of the recruitment process, asked me to prepare a full range of meals. It is this attention to detail that attracted me to the role to head up one of the most important aspects of life at our home. Mealtimes should be looked forward to and the food savoured and it is my role to make sure this happens every day.
